Sweet Drawings and Letters

I'm starting to collect and scan all these little drawings that Dave makes for his kids. My favorite kind of artwork. I just love the style he uses, albiet amateur. The drawings speak of his heart, I strongly believe. :) Maybe one of these days, I'll transform them into digital brushes. What do you think?

God knew what I needed today when I saw this letter in the mailbox this morning. I love being the recipient of such sweet things. Mmmm...I could just hug her!

My Valentine

Dave and I tied the knot 14 years ago on October 7th, 1995. I can't believe how fast the time has gone! This layout is one of four that I created for a local scrapbook store contest. This was back when I was really into trying different techniques. Love that Dymo label maker! Instead of sending the black ribbon through, I tried cardstock. I think it's pretty cool. :) I used a picture frame mat for the frame. I notice that the glue I used for the KI Memories acrylic hearts has browned! I should send them an email, huh?

Design Team Layout

I'm happy with how this turned out, except my photograph of the layout. The coral pink should be more a bubblegum pink. :) Supplies: paper by Basic Grey, Little Yellow Bicycle. flower by Prima, bling bracket by ZvaCreative, label punch by Stampin' Up, butterfly stamps by Inkdinkado, butterfly diecuts created using the stamps, herringbone pattern by an unknown brand of stamp (picked it up at Michael's from the discount bin at $0.33!) Diecut A is a font called Brock Script off the internet, felt flowers and letters by American Crafts, bling ribbon and metal found object-unknown. I used Smooch by Clearsnap to edge my photo and the flower.  I also used Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels, Glitter Glaze by Li'l Davis Designs, and regular white paint on the flower. I like how Elizabeth Kartchner uses butterflies, so I copied her. :)
